Plan Ahead

• Designate a sober driver before going out and if it’s not you, give that person your keys.
• Always know how you’re getting home before going out.
• Have a back-up plan. Carry cab money.

If You Drink

• Call a taxi.
• Use public transportation.
• Call a sober friend.
• Ask the bartender, manager, or food server to assist you.
• Stay where you are until sober.

Know the Real Cost

You can get a DUI for alcohol, prescription drugs, marijuana or any other drug that impairs your driving.

• The minimum cost of a first DUI is $10,000.
• In Ventura County, there were 488 alcohol-involved collisions with 644 victims injured and 24 deaths in one year alone.
